I am trying to find out how to upgrade docker compose to 1.24 version as I am not able to run some latest docker compose files due to version mismatch.

Hello Vikram,

You can follow below steps for that.

1. Uninstall the docker compose installed

2. Install new docker compose new version

To uninstall docker compose, run below commands

sudo apt-get remove docker-compose

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove docker-compose

To Install new version of docker compose, run below command. First command install the new docker compose version and second command provide required permissions.

curl -L "https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.24.1/docker-compose-$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/bin/docker-compose

sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/docker-compose

Above command curl need to be installed, in case it is not there just run below command

sudo apt install curl
